Hi! I’m Rubidia C Argueta. I was born in El Salvador, in a small town called San Vicente.
I came to the U.S. when I was 11 years old and I’ve been known to be the family photographer since I was a teenager when my mother gave me my first film camera as a Christmas present.
As my curiosity of photography rapidly grew, I decided to take a few photography classes when I was in high school, but never in a million years did I imagine that my little hobby would turn into what it is now, my passion to capture moments in time.
I first fell in love with wedding photography around 2009 after a friend of mine asked me to photograph a wedding with her, as a second shooter. The experience was so rewarding, sort of like a defining moment because that’s the moment I decided I wanted to pursue photography with a purpose. Realizing the value that these images hold was priceless and I knew that I wanted to be part of that legacy for all of my couples.
I feel so blessed to travel, meet new people and make friendships along the way. I love what I do and hope you give me an opportunity to capture one of your happiest days!
I currently live in Oakland and serve the greater Bay Area. When I’m not away taking pictures, you’ll find me at the gym, trying to work on my fitness, doing a little bit of hiking, crafting, painting (acrylics), at an A’s game or spending time with my loved ones.
But one of my favorite activities is eating, seriously who doesn’t!! haha, I love Asian food but my guilty pleasure is Pupusas, El Salvador’s traditional dish. I recommend El Platano Cafe in Berkeley!! Nom Nom!! I love coffee, especially those lattes with the pretty foam! I’m not much of a tv watcher, but I occasionally binge-watch shows like… Friends, The Office or Parks & Rec and many more!
Thank you for reading my all about me page, now it’s your turn… Let’s connect and chat. Coffee houses are my favorite meeting places, let’s plan a coffee date!
